Property Spotlight: Sculptural Elegance at 134 Flinders Street, Paddington
Set in one of Sydney’s most esteemed inner-city neighbourhoods, this stately Paddington residence is a considered study in balance — blending classical architecture with sculptural styling to create a space that is both refined and liveable.
Let’s Style Interiors was engaged as part of a collaborative project, with our team tasked to curate key lifestyle zones throughout the home. Our styling scope included the formal dining, casual living, bedroom retreats and study — each approached with a focus on mood, materiality and emotional connection.
We began in the casual living space, where warm herringbone flooring and traditional detailing set a tone of timeless sophistication. A curved boucle sofa and chocolate velvet occasional chair were layered with fluted pedestal tables and travertine accents, grounding the space in sculptural softness. Gallery-grade artwork brought contrast and curation, while lush greenery — supplied by a specialist plant stylist — added scale and vitality.
An Entertainer’s Centrepiece: The Dining Room

In the formal dining room, original sandstone and exposed brickwork framed the space with heritage depth. To honour this, we styled the room with a rounded solid oak table, paired with soft cream velvet dining chairs for elegance and comfort. The table was anchored by organic vessels and rich-toned botanicals, adding seasonal texture and visual rhythm without detracting from the architecture.
Oversized olive trees in marble planters brought verticality and calm grandeur, tying into the home’s leafy setting. The result: a dining space that feels both intimate and elevated — designed for conversation, celebration and timeless connection.
The details.
Shelving was styled with balance in mind: tactile vessels, sculptural forms, and personal touches—like framed photography—lend a lived-in luxury. A statement wood sculpture rests atop a Chanel book, nodding to the homeowner’s appreciation for style and substance.
Natural textures were a recurring theme, from ribbed ceramics to raw timber and textural books. In the bedroom, the palette softens, with tonal bedding layered for depth and a sense of ease. Each room was enhanced by greenery sourced from a trusted plant stylist, carefully selected to complement the flow and feeling of each zone.
